Have you always wanted to write a book and don’t know where to start?

According to writer Joseph Epstein, “81 percent of Americans feel that they have a book in them — and should write it.” That’s approximately 200 million people who aspire to authorship.

If you are one of those people, I can help.

Here are a few tips to get started.

Create A Blog

A social media presence is a great way to begin writing. You can share your content and learn as you go. One good way to begin is create a blog.

You can create a free blog on WordPress. It’s really popular and easy to use. There are lots of articles on the internet to help you learn what to do.

CREATE A WEBSITE

Once you start writing online you might want to create your own website. It’s a more professional site than a blog. You’ll be able to post your resume and advertise for work. When you finally get that book published, you’ll be able to use the website to sell it.

JOIN ME AND WRITE ON MEDIUM

Medium is a writing platform where you can learn how to write. There’s a friendly community of writers waiting to help you get started.

It’s an easy way to begin. Create an account and start posting. You don’t have to figure out how to set up a blog or website and it only costs $5 a month to join.

You can earn money on Medium as well. When other Medium members read your posts, you get a bit of cash from their reads. You can build a real following while you work on your book.
